Privacy Policy

GlowBolt is a personal organization and planning app for goals, bills, debt payoff planning, subscriptions, study tasks, routines, reminders, health-related personal notes, and related life-planning information. GlowBolt is designed to be local-first: it does not require an account, and Santacruz Dev does not operate a backend service that receives, hosts, syncs, or views the personal planning content you enter into the app.

1. Privacy Summary

  • No account required. GlowBolt does not require login, account creation, usernames, passwords, or social sign-in.
  • Your app content stays on your device. Goals, bills, debts, payments, subscriptions, routines, notes, study information, health entries, settings, and SharInbox items are stored locally on your device and, where needed, in the local app group shared between GlowBolt and its share extension.
  • No developer access to your core app content. Santacruz Dev does not receive, host, sync, sell, share, or view the personal planning content you store in GlowBolt.
  • No third-party ads or tracking. GlowBolt does not use third-party advertising networks and does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
  • Apple handles purchases. GlowBolt Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.

2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

When you use GlowBolt, you may choose to enter or save information such as goals, tasks, routines, reminders, bill names, due dates, debt balances, lender names, planned payments, payoff notes, subscription reminders, budget or spending entries, student deadlines, course information, instructor contact information, health-related personal entries, profile preferences, app settings, and SharInbox links.

This information is stored locally on your device. Santacruz Dev does not receive this information through the app and does not have a built-in way to view it.

Local app data may be deleted if you use available in-app delete/reset features, delete the app, erase your device, or clear app data. Depending on your Apple device and iCloud settings, local app data may also be included in Apple-managed device backups. Apple-managed backups are controlled by Apple and your device settings, not by Santacruz Dev.

3. No Account or Login Data

GlowBolt does not require an account and does not collect account login credentials. Because GlowBolt does not create app accounts, there is no GlowBolt account for Santacruz Dev to delete. You can delete local GlowBolt data by using available in-app deletion features or deleting the app from your device.

4. Subscription and Payment Information

GlowBolt Pro subscriptions are processed through Apple’s App Store using Apple’s StoreKit system. Santacruz Dev does not receive or store your full payment card number, bank account number, or Apple Account password.

Apple may provide the app with limited subscription-related information needed to determine whether GlowBolt Pro is active, expired, pending, restored, refunded, or unavailable. Apple may also provide Santacruz Dev with limited subscription, sales, and reporting information through App Store Connect. This purchase-related information does not include the personal planning content you store in GlowBolt.

Your billing relationship for in-app subscriptions is handled by Apple and is subject to Apple’s own terms, privacy policies, and App Store processes.

5. Pro Preview

GlowBolt may offer an app-managed Pro Preview period. This preview lets users try certain Pro-style features before purchasing GlowBolt Pro. Pro Preview status is stored locally on your device and is used to manage feature access.

The Pro Preview is not the same as an Apple subscription free trial unless an Apple introductory offer is separately shown in the App Store purchase flow.

6. SharInbox and Link Previews

GlowBolt SharInbox is an inbound private saving feature. If you share a web link or text containing a web link into GlowBolt, the share extension may save the imported link, optional title, scheduling choices, category or pack choices, and locally saved preview data on your device.

GlowBolt does not host SharInbox content, make it public, provide public posting, or provide a developer-moderated sharing service. Santacruz Dev does not receive or view the links or SharInbox content you save through the app.

To generate a link preview, Apple link-preview services and/or the destination website may be contacted when you import a link. If you later choose to open a saved link, your browser or the destination website may receive the URL and process information according to that third party’s own terms and privacy policy.

7. Local Notifications and Reminders

GlowBolt may use local notifications to remind you about tasks, bills, routines, subscriptions, study items, or other entries you create. Local notifications are scheduled on your device. Notification text may appear on your lock screen or notification center depending on your iOS notification and privacy settings. You can manage notification permissions in iOS Settings.

8. Support Communications

If you contact Santacruz Dev for support, we may receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message content, screenshots, device/app details you include, and any other information you voluntarily provide. Please avoid sending private financial, health, debt, password, or highly sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your support request.

Support communications are used to respond to you, troubleshoot issues, maintain records, protect users and the app, and comply with legal obligations. Support email may be processed by email or support service providers used to receive and respond to messages.

9. Analytics, Advertising, Tracking, and Diagnostics

GlowBolt does not currently include third-party analytics SDKs, third-party advertising SDKs, third-party tracking SDKs, backend telemetry, or third-party crash-reporting SDKs. GlowBolt does not sell your personal information and does not share your personal information with data brokers.

Apple may separately process App Store, purchase, diagnostic, or device information under Apple’s own terms and privacy policies. Santacruz Dev does not intentionally receive your local GlowBolt entries through those Apple systems.

10. How Information Is Used

Information stored locally in GlowBolt is used to provide app features, display your tasks and planning views, calculate payoff projections and summaries, schedule local reminders, manage local settings, manage Pro Preview status, and determine GlowBolt Pro access through Apple StoreKit.

Information you voluntarily send in support communications is used to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, improve reliability, protect the app and users, and comply with legal obligations.

11. When Information May Be Shared

Santacruz Dev does not share your locally stored GlowBolt content because Santacruz Dev does not receive it through the app. We may share limited information only in these circumstances:

  • with Apple as needed for App Store purchases, subscription processing, StoreKit, device-level services, and Apple-managed app functionality;
  • with email, hosting, or support providers if you voluntarily contact us for support;
  • if required by law, legal process, or valid governmental request;
  • to protect the rights, safety, security, or integrity of users, Santacruz Dev, GlowBolt, or others; or
  • with your consent or at your direction.

12. Financial, Legal, Tax, Credit, Medical, and Academic Disclaimer

GlowBolt is a personal organization and planning tool. GlowBolt does not provide financial, legal, tax, investment, credit, debt counseling, medical, or academic advice. Any calculations, projections, reminders, payoff plans, summaries, or insights are for informational and organizational purposes only.

13. Data Retention and Deletion

Local app content remains on your device until you delete it, reset applicable app data, delete the app, or erase your device. Apple-managed backups may retain copies according to your Apple and iCloud settings.

Support communications may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to respond to your request, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. To request deletion of information you have sent to Santacruz Dev outside the app, contact ContactSantacruzDev@gmail.com.

14. Children’s Privacy

GlowBolt is not intended for children under 13 years old. Santacruz Dev does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to Santacruz Dev, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

15. Security

GlowBolt relies on Apple’s device security model and local app storage protections to help protect information stored on your device. You are responsible for securing your device, passcode, Apple Account, backups, and notification privacy settings. No app, device, network, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update it, we will change the Effective Date above. If GlowBolt materially changes its data practices, including by adding analytics, advertising, backend sync, AI services, cloud hosting, or other third-party data processing, this policy should be updated before those practices are used.
